Goodbye, Alice

I was saddened to receive the news yesterday that Ann B. Davis -- aka The Brady Bunch's Alice -- had died.

Not sure yet how I break the news to our little Brady Bunch fan.

Here is a good read in the L.A. Times about Davis. ... Did Sam really appear in only eight episodes?

"Brady Bunch" fans all seem to have their favorite characters -- there are the Greg fans, the Marcia fans and the Jan fans, among others -- but Alice was a unifier. Who didn't love Alice?
