The a-daup chronicles are continuing …
For lunch today, some pieces of avocado were among the things on Phoebe’s plate … Which she wasted no time picking up and spreading their slimy green remnants onto her face and her white pants and shirt …
As Kates got her down from the hi-chair and began wiping her clean, Pheebs shouted “a-daup!”
Says Kates, “Yeah, Phoebe, you dauped all over your pants!”
Our little ham. It gets more fun and entertaining every day with her …
No walking yet. But she crawls at the pace of a racehorse.
She’s got waving down pat now, and she loves doing it whether Kates and I are leaving her or not. If I hand her off to Kates, she’ll wave good-bye.
She’s also saying “hi” and “yep” pretty well. Or maybe Kates and I just like to think she’s saying it …
As Kates and I were playing with her on the floor tonight, and she was crawling all over us, she flashed her mischievous clown grin at me …
“Oh, Phoebe, you’re such a ham!” I said as I pulled her in for a hug. “Has anyone ever told you that? You’re such a ham.”
“Yep!” she said. And she crawled away.
